SmoothSign is a free Chrome extension built by SmoothApps. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles your data.

What data we collect

None. SmoothSign does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

What stays on your device

SmoothSign stores your saved signatures and initials locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third party.

PDF files you open are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to any server.

Permissions

SmoothSign requests the following Chrome permissions:

• storage — to save your signature library locally on your device
• tabs — to open the PDF signer in a new tab

No other permissions are requested or used.

Third-party services

The extension contains an optional link to Buy Me a Coffee for voluntary tips, and a link to a Google Form for optional feedback. These are external links — clicking them is entirely voluntary and subject to those services' own privacy policies.
